For some, the power of CraigsList is overlooked when conducting a job search.
This is where CraigZoom (now referred to as ZoomTheList) comes into play, giving you the ability to add another tool to help you conduct a more robust job search using Craigslist.
This “Google-like” tool allows you to perform much larger searches for jobs across multiple Craigslist websites.
You can search ALL of Craigslist at one time, or refine your search further by selecting a city, state, and so on.
Not surprisingly, Craigslist may not be the best fit for managers, executives, and other established professionals searching for a new job.
This may be true for some career fields and industries, but there are more management and executive jobs on the site than you might think.
Before You Dismiss This Resource, Consider This…
If you DO use Craigslist as part of your “job-search arsenal,” you’ll be surprised at the reach that CraigZoom/ZoomTheList provides you.
In fact, think of Craig Zoom as a job aggregator, finding and presenting job openings to you from thousands of locations all at once.
For example, you could input “Project Manager” or “Engineer” within the search box and search ALL of Craigslist.
Or, you could further refine your search using the site’s local search feature.
Using the search all feature, I was able to uncover 30,900 job openings that matched my keyword search for “project manager” jobs.
Professional Jobs on Craigslist
As I hinted to above, there are surprisingly more professional jobs on Craigslist than you might expect.
I successfully found 211,000 jobs with the word “manager” in the title and another 82,700 jobs with the word “executive” in the title.
Example of Search Results
Doing a quick keyword search for a writer, for example, returned 56,000+ open jobs for writers.
There are some cons of using ZoomTheList/CraigZoom, however.
For example, you will need to navigate around all the Google advertisements (see in the above screenshot “ads by Google”).
Google ads are certainly overpowering the top and left navigation of the site, but quite possibly a necessary evil for the site’s developers who are trying to cover the costs of maintaining the site.

Alternative to CraigZoom/ZoomTheList
Of course, CraigZoom is really nothing more than a search string that can be used over at Google to receive similar results.
For example, using one of the below you can find manager jobs on Craigslist without using an online portal.
Simply copy and paste one of the below search strings into your Google navigation bar and adjust the search queries to better fit your needs:
Search by Job Title: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=site:craigslist.org+manager
Search by Job Title & State: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=site:craigslist.org+manager+ohio
Search by Job Title, State & City: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=site:craigslist.org+manager+dayton+ohio
