Dear Mr(s)._____________:
As far back as I can remember, I have had an undying love for animals of all types. This passion has been the motivating force throughout my career as a zookeeper.
My connection with zoo animals helps me to understand their needs and take notice if and when they have any behavioral changes or health issues. I remember my first job at the Detroit zoo where I had to tend to 12 species of wild animals including elephants, tigers, and apes. I enjoyed nurturing them every day and they grew to become quite strong and healthy. In fact, they were the healthiest animals in the zoo.
Not only am I good with animals, but I am also a great people person who is able to engage with sight-seekers who are looking to learn more about these wonderful creatures.
In reviewing your post for the zookeeper role at the San Diego Zoo, I am positive that I will be a great contribution to the maintenance of your wildlife. Feel free to contact me to schedule an interview. I will be available at (xxx) xxx-xxxx. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Very truly yours,
